DIT Therapy is a highly successful short term therapy for general anxiety and depression.
Do you feel that your emotional health may be affected by troubles within your relationships?
Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy
This is a focus based short term therapy helping you to understand the link between your low moods and what is happening within your relationships. There is a growing body of evidence demonstrating that DIT therapy can be helpful for people suffering from generalised anxiety and depression. DIT was developed and is being delivered by NHS England in many parts of the UK, under NICE guidelines.
DIT is a relational therapy which is time limited to 16 weekly sessions. The aim is to help you understand connections between what is troubling you to what is happening in your relationships. There is often a repetitive pattern of relating to people that can be traced back to childhood. Once a pattern is identified, it will be used to make sense of difficulties that you are currently experiencing and that are significant contributors to your anxiety and depression.
The work will include encouraging you to reflect on what you think and feel, thereby helping you to understand yourself and others in a way that perhaps previously you had been unaware of.
A course of DIT therapy lasts for 16 sessions
