Maidstone & Medway Counselling

Providing a professional counselling service for Maidstone and Medway.

Responding to the current Pandemic, I am offering online sessions by secure video platforms and also by telephone. The safety of my clients is paramount and will be continuing to review the situation with regard to when it is safe to return to face to face sessions.

At times, we need extra support when life can feel a struggle. Maidstone & Medway Counselling provides a complementary range of counselling therapies in a beautiful and peaceful rural setting just outside Maidstone in Kent. As an accredited therapist with the BACP I have many clinical hours experience working with adults and young people, one to one, in general counselling, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy.

As a counsellor, I work from a psychodynamic theoretical basis, which focuses on how life experiences and struggles within personal relationships may be affecting you. Dynamic Interpersonal therapy and Equine Facilitated Therapy both focus on relationships, helping to gain understanding of yourself and others in a way that previously you may not have been aware of.

Our Services

At times, we need a little extra support when life can feel as if it has been turned upside down, sometimes with no obvious reasons why. I work with you to explore what is happening in your life now, and how difficult past life experiences could be affecting you.

Do you feel that your emotional health may be affected by troubles within your relationships? If so, then this therapy could work for you. DIT focuses on relationships, helping you understand the link between your anxiety and depression, with the interactions you have with others.

EFP is a therapy in which you interact with a horse in its natural outdoor environment which facilitates personal insight and learning. It is a collaborative experience between therapist, client and horse and it involves no riding. No previous experience of being around horses is required.

Taking the first step is always the hardest part.

If you feel now is the right time, contact us for an assessment.
